WHAT IS THE MEMBERS FORUM?
There are 2 new sections accessible only from the Members Area:-
1. MEMBERS CONSULTATION FORUM
WHAT IS IT? This is an exciting new section of the website which enables BATB members working in the field of tissue banking to take part in consultation upon relevant draft regulation or guidelines. The BATB executive officers will post the link here to view all new documents offered to the BATB for consultation as and when they emerge. BATB members may then send in their comments directly in response to consultation or they will be given the choice of additionally/instead sending their comments back to the BATB executive for inclusion in an amalgamated BATB response. A BATB response has proven in the past to have made more impact than that of a single direct response.
HOW DOES IT WORK? There will shortly be links added to enable viewing or downloading of all relevant consultation documents. A BATB consultation template form will be added for members to download and add their comments. An email address of the BATB Executive member who is responsible for co-ordinating the BATB response will be provided as well as a date for deadline of the return of members responses. After the response deadline, the submitted BATB response will be posted for all members to view. When the document is eventually published, this link will be posted here.
2. MEMBERS CHAT FORUM
WHAT IS IT? This is another exciting new area of the website which is intended to facilitate discussion between BATB members about any tissue banking issues, or relevant topical news and events. It will enable tissue bankers working anywhere in the UK or Ireland to network with other members working in similar or quite different fields of tissue banking.
HOW DOES IT WORK? There will shortly be a forum facility available on this website for BATB members to electronically send in their comments for discussion. After an editorial checking procedure, these comments will be released live on the website. The editorial team of 3 staff will endeavour to facilitate the checking procedure as soon as they possibly can following the posting of the members comments. The editorial team retain the right to refuse to release members comments if they consider them to deflammatory or insensitive.
