Introduction to the SIGs

BATB Special Interest Groups
The BATB facilitates the networking of tissue bankers with each other. Groups of tissue bankers with similar interests join together and meet as Special Interest Groups (SIGs). There are several SIGs currently active in the BATB:-
Medical SIG
Musculoskeletal SIG
Occular SIG
Cardiovascular SIG
Public Relations SIG
Quality, Education & Training SIG,
Research SIG

Some groups meet regularly (e.g. Occular, Musculoskeletal and Cardiovascular SIGs) and others hold joint workshops with other SIGs when an issue or topic of interest arises.

SIG Members may thus communicate with other members by attending SIG meetings or by receiving SIG minutes. Nominations and voting for SIG officer positions of SIG Chair and Secretary are organised within each SIG. SIG Chairs or their deputinsing secretary are invited to all BATB executive meetings.

If you wish to join a SIG please log on to the Members Area for more information or go to 'Who's Who' section of the Home page.
